Commitment
This website aims to be usable by everyone, including readers who use a screen reader, navigate with a keyboard alone, enlarge text, or rely on high contrast. Many of the books published here are written for older readers and for people going through a hard time, so reading comfort is not a side issue on this site.
Conformance status
The site aims at WCAG 2.1 level AA. It is not certified by a third party. The statement below describes what was actually measured, and what was not.
How this was tested
Last checked on 6 September 2026, by self-assessment, using an automated audit run in a real browser rather than on the source code. It measured: the declared page language, alternative text on every image, heading structure, the presence of a skip link, link text quality, endless animation, the contrast ratio of every rendered text element against its effective background, and horizontal scrolling at viewport widths of 320, 360, 412 and 768 pixels.
Known limitations
- Some interactive controls are smaller than 24 by 24 pixels. Links that sit inside a sentence are exempt under WCAG 2.2 criterion 2.5.8, but a few standalone controls are still below that size and will be enlarged.
- Books are sold on Amazon and Leanpub. Those are third-party sites and their accessibility is outside the control of this website.
- Automated testing cannot judge whether wording is clear or whether a description is accurate. This statement therefore describes a partial check, not a complete one.
Reporting a barrier
If any part of this site is hard to use, please write to [email protected] describing the page and what happened. Messages are answered, and reported barriers are prioritised over new features.
Legal note
Directive (EU) 2016/2102 and Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance 112/2018 place a binding accessibility obligation on public sector bodies. This is a private author website and is not a public sector body, so that obligation does not apply here. This statement is published voluntarily, because a site that recommends accessibility should be able to show its own measurements.
